Nashik is one of the most popular destinations in Maharashtra, known for its temples, vineyards, and spiritual significance. Located around 210 km from Pune and 165 km from Mumbai, Nashik is often included in extended Maharashtra road trips.

For me, visiting Nashik has never been a standalone trip. It has always been part of a larger Maharashtra journey — starting from Pune, covering Lonavala, Mumbai, Panchavati, Shirdi, and ending at Shani Shingnapur.

My Journey to Nashik

My Nashik trips are always connected to a longer Maharashtra road journey. Most of my routes begin from Pune. The typical route looks like this:

Pune → Lonavala → Mumbai → Nashik → Panchavati → Shirdi → Shani Shingnapur

Instead of rushing directly to Nashik, I prefer covering multiple places along the way. This makes the road trip more enjoyable and balanced between nature, city life, temples, and vineyards. Every time I drive from Pune towards Nashik, the road journey itself feels refreshing. The highways are smooth, and the changing landscapes of Maharashtra make it a comfortable long drive vacation.

One of my favorite experiences in Nashik is visiting Sula Vineyards. It is still one of my favorite spots in Maharashtra. The vineyard views, calm environment, and wine tasting experience make it a must-visit whenever I am in Nashik.

Sula Vineyards – Sula Vineyards is one of the most famous attractions in Nashik and a must-visit for wine lovers. Known as the wine capital of India, Nashik gained popularity largely due to Sula. Visitors can:

Every visit feels slightly different depending on the route — sometimes after Mumbai, sometimes before Shani Shingnapur — but Nashik consistently adds depth to the journey. It slows the pace just enough without breaking the flow of the trip.
